SUPPORTEX
A tribute to my father's company (formerly 'Supportex') and my
grandfather's violin-making
FIVER
Originally written for F.O.S, an important band for some of us.
Features a charango and a marimba.
VAPARI
Structured improv in three short movements, constructed over a drumkit
improvisation.
HISTORICISM
Constructed over an initial sketch recording made with a fretless
guitar.
The left channel text was collaged, with
the help of Antti Helminen, from two
texts,
one about manic-depressive artists, the other a knotted
post-structuralist cramp.
The dialect in the right channel is a twisted Finnish, the kind only
siblings are capable of producing.
An uneducated trumpet solo tries to come to terms with all that.
TUKKAA
Made plunderphonically in Audacity, out of two very short clips from
contemporary classical music recordings.
SITTEN
Finnish for 'then'.
